  • Mikhail Samonov is the lead portfolio manager of Two Centuries Investments, which was established to create long term wealth for investors through its blend of innovative and behaviorally-focused investment strategies. In an industry suffering an alpha drought, Mikhail continuously explores previously unmeasured sources of alpha to build resilient approaches that support long-term investor compounding. Mikhail has been a portfolio manager for over 18 years, with a consistent track record of high performance and innovation. In prior roles he managed >$5 billion in systematic equities and over $1 billion in multi-asset and alternative factor strategies.

    He is a published author and sought after speaker on topics including factor investing, quantitative innovation, sustainable investing, and asset allocation. His work has been cited by leading financial journalists, academics, and authors, including in the Financial Times and the Wall Street Journal, and is in the top 10% of authors on SSRN. An honors graduate of Brown University with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and Economics, Mikhail also holds an MBA degree from the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania and is a CFA Charterholder.

  • John has 20 years of investment experience and 30 years of financial services industry experience. Over his career, he has appeared as a subject matter expert on television and radio, spoken at conferences, and presented investment insights to pension funds, insurance companies, and endowments. Most recently, he was the Head of Equities and Portfolio Manager at USAA Investments, where he grew the equity platform to $7.5 billion in assets under management in actively managed strategies. For over ten years John served as an officer of the USAA Mutual Funds Trust. His prior roles included serving as the asset allocation portfolio manager at USAA Investments and AIG Investments; as the chief investment officer for AIG's U.S. pension fund with over $3 billion in assets; and as the director of asset-liability management solutions for MetLife. John is a magna cum laude graduate of Williams College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics. John is a CFA Charterholder.

  • Alex had a long career with JPMorgan Chase focused on project management, internal risk and control assessment, audit preparedness and senior management initiatives. Alex was part of the team that integrated Bear Stearns into JPMorgan. She also worked as the lead project manager of a mission critical initiative focused on inquiries from US regulators. Alex is a mother of two daughters, volunteers at a local non-profit championing environmental protection and clean water, studies herbalism and pursues creative endeavors through a local arts council and online courses. Alex received a B.A in International Relations at Johns Hopkins University.

  • Prescott utilizes quantitative methods and analysis to integrate alternative data, and research innovative approaches to enhance our investment process. He has worked in both fundamental and quantitative investing, bridging the fields with his expertise as a data scientist. His additional experience working with artists and creatives has made him adept at communicating analytics insights and supporting the goals of clients. He is also an avid cook, and music producer. Prescott received a B.A. in Economics and Music from Brown University.

  • Fatima Dickey is a Business Advisor to Two Centuries Investments with 17 years of investment management experience. Fatima is the founder and portfolio manager at Lagoda Investment Management, a New York-based firm specializing in global fundamental equity investing. In her prior role, Fatima was a managing director and portfolio manager at U.S. Trust for over ten years. Her roles included launching and managing $2 billion in the Global Opportunities Portfolio, and co-managing $5 billion in Excelsior Equity Core, an in-house strategy and mutual fund. Fatima began her professional career as an Investment Banking analyst at A.G. Edwards & Sons in St. Louis. Fatima received her MBA degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an undergraduate degree from Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis. Born in Poland, Fatima came to the U.S. as an exchange student in high school and attended Washington University on a full scholarship.

  • Malcolm Smith is a Business Advisor to Two Centuries Investments. Malcolm is an experienced executive with a demonstrated history of working in the investment management and consulting industry, with a range of professional skills in securities, asset management, management, marketing. Board-level experience in both corporate and non-profit environments. Particular experience in financing public, private partnerships at the city, state and federal government level. Malcolm is also currently an advisor to Lagoda Investment Management. Malcolm has an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA degree from Brown University.
